What better place to celebrate your special day than on the Northern California coast, at Joshua Grindle Inn, surrounded by towering cypress trees while listening to the ocean? When you're at our wedding and event venue in Mendocino, CA, you are immersed in history, nature, and some of the best views in Northern California. You get the exclusive use of the property for 3 nights to host the perfect destination wedding weekend! Our on-site lodging accommodates 24 people in our Grand Victorian, Cottage and Water Tower. For those not staying on the property, there are multiple world-class bed and breakfasts within a 5-minute walk. There’s also a small fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs and solar-powered lights to cap off every evening.

A Great Place for Receptions or Other Events

It’s a perfect place for an intimate reception of 50 or fewer guests, with the Mendocino Headlands providing the perfect ceremony backdrop less than a mile away.

There's room for your wedding tent or open-air dining, and Mendocino has all the help you need, from wedding planners to caterers. There's even a large outdoor fire pit for after-dinner bonfires.

The property is also a great place to hold a reunion, girls/guys weekend retreat or renew your vows. You can also enjoy a multitude of activities with your family and friends. Go hiking in one of the many local State Parks, visit a multitude of secluded beaches, walk around the historic village of Mendocino, kayak or canoe in the ocean or the Big River, or visit one of the many local wineries!
